Fantastic Opportuinity Horticulture & Landscape Operative Level 2 

 

 

 

Duties to include:

 

Safe use of tools and how to work safely

 

Dealing with a wide range of plants, shrubs and small trees and their maintenance

 

Lawn improvements and treatments, and the relevance of pesticides/herbicides

 

Removing waste materials from the gardens for transportation.

 

Carry out any tasks required by the landscaping team.

 

Emptying the vehicles of garden waste and other items removed from site.

 

Assisting the gardening team by clearing up hedge cuttings and leaves.

 

Grass cutting and strimming.

 

Weeding/ Leaf blowing

 

Hedge cutting (once training is given and you are competent)

 

Ensure you are compliant with all health and safety regulation and you wear your protective clothing when necessary, the business works and evolves.

Come prepared for work with everything you need.

 

Be a team player

 

Have GCSE Maths and English 9 to 5above or equivalent

 

Alongside the apprentice Standard in Horticulture & Landscape Operative Level 2 you will also receive on the job training from your work colleagues and work based Tutor.

 

Functional Skills English and maths will also be offered as part of your programme and will be necessary should you need to upskill in one or both of these areas.
