Apprentice Administrator (Marketing Assistant) Apprenticeship - Candlelighters - level 3 Business Administration

Opportunity description

 

Candlelighters was formed more than 40 years ago by parents of children affected by cancer. They came together, along with the medics who treated their children to support each other. Family support is a key part of our work to this day and we offer an ever expanding range of support from funding holidays for families to talking therapies. We fund research into the causes and potential treatment of children’s cancer as well as investing in the wards by funding posts and purchasing equipment

As the successful Business Administration Apprentice you will be working Monday to Friday from 08:30am to 04:30pm. During the yearlong apprenticeship you will be given full training and support to achieve your Level 3 Business Administration qualification.

Key duties:

  • Day to day posting and development of social media
  • Management and development of the website
  • Build strong relationships with the media
  • Manage and keep updated the charity’s communication planner
  • Development and co-ordination of existing resources such as film and photography  
  • Investing time in developing existing social media platforms and identification of new opportunities
  • Actively participate in team meetings, demonstrating creativity through new ideas
  • Co-ordination of newsletter content working closely with the Head of Income Development
  • Developing and maintaining a consistent voice to our communications in line with our values and strategy
  • Additional cover for events where appropriate.

 

The successful candidate:

  • Good working knowledge of social media
  • Excellent written and presentation skills
  • Computer literate, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Able to work on own initiative working towards deadlines and within a team
  • GCSE in Maths and English grades A – D or equivalent
