Get paid to train
If you're 16 to 18 and not sure how you'll afford to stay in your training, don't worry! You could get up to £30 a week through the Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA).
The EMA is available to 16 -18 year olds who are doing an e2e course or an Apprenticeship. The money is paid direct to you, to help you out with whatever you need during your training and the amount depends on your household income.

If you're planning to start an Apprenticeship but aren't sure about what you'll earn, the government recommends that all Apprentices should be paid at least £80 per week by your employer. You could also be entitled to the EMA.
