What is an Apprenticeship?

An Apprenticeship is a way to earn money, get a qualification, learn new skills and get ahead of the crowd!

It's a practical course, so you'll develop your skills working on the job. For many courses, you'll also have regular study sessions at your local centre with your YMCA Training Adviser.

We offer two levels of qualifications: Apprenticeships and Advanced Apprenticeships and will assess which is the right course for you when you join us.

So if the idea of studying full time isn't something you like the sound of, but you do want to learn and get a head start in your job, then read more about Apprenticeships!

What's next?

You can find out more details about Apprenticeships on this site. Have a look at the list of courses we offer and the Frequently Asked Questions to get more of an idea of what's involved and to have some of your questions answered.

If you think an Apprenticeship is for you, contact your local centre to find out more and let them know you'd like to apply.
