Hayley Drummond joined the Foundation Learning Programme
at YMCA Training Great Yarmouth in November
2010.
After leaving school in the summer, Hayley started working, but
unfortunately in October, her work placement came to an end. By
this time Hayley had missed her chance of getting a place in Great
Yarmouth College on the course she wanted to join.
When Hayley first joined the Foundation Learning Programme she
was very worried she would not fit in as she had low self-esteem
and hardly any confidence.
Since joining the Foundation Learning Programme, Hayley's
confidence and self-esteem has grown, and she has reached a number
of achievements including, her Functional Skills Level 1, EPD Level
1, Step-Up Level 1, and the completion of her Functional English
and Maths Level 1.
Hayley said "I can't believe I'm the same person anymore. I have
gone from a shy girl with low confidence and hardly any
self-esteem, who was scared of even starting at the training
centre, to a happy and bubbly woman with a lot of confidence and
high self-worth that doesn't want to leave YMCA Training."
