For the past year, learners on the Foundation Learning
programme at YMCA Training Stowmarket have built a great
relationship with Oxfam.
As a result of this, Oxfam invited the young learners to help
organise the celebration of their recent move to a new store.
The learners helped Oxfam with the preparations of the main
event by making bunting, cakes and banners and by handing out
leaflets promoting the move.
On the day itself, the learners helped set up the bands, handed
out refreshments and painted faces, showing lots of enthusiasm and
a very professional manner.
A representative from Oxfam, said: "The day was a great success,
raising lots of money and awareness for the shop."
