YMCA Training inspire - develop - transform News

On Monday 20th June, two young learners, Shannon who is on the Foundation Learning programme and Yenanesh who is on the STRIVE programme showed the Mayor of Salford, Councillor Eric Burgoyne and the Mayoress Val Burgoyne around both YMCA Training Salford centres.

Adam Barton, who won Aimhigher Apprentice of the Year and his manager, Barbara Wood, spent time with the visitors discussing apprenticeships and the excellent partnership Swinton Park Golf Club has with YMCA Training.

Adam was then presented with his certificate along with six other learners, Shannon Burke, Emma Dixon, Jack Pullen, Sophie Hobson, Jess Murphy and Yenanesh Demoz. The Mayoress was also presented with flowers.

Councillor Eric Burgoyne said that he and his wife think YMCA Training is a wonderful organisation, and they will be attending YMCA Training Salford's celebration event at Swinton Park Golf Club in September.

Staff and learners at YMCA Training Salford would like to thank Karen Roberts, YMCA Training Chester's location manager, Sarah Truesdale Child Care co-ordinator and Amy Nuttall, FL co-ordinator for attending and a big thank you to Doreen Caunce who arranged the visit so well!
