Staff and learners celebrate achievement at YMCA Training Wythenshawe

Staff, learners and special guests celebrated the achievements of learners at YMCA Training Wythenshawe at an open day and awards ceremony held last week.

The open day and awards ceremony was held on 18/5 and was attended by the Lord Mayor of Manchester, Councillor Alison Firth, as well as representatives from a number of YMCA Training Wythenshawe's partner agencies such as JobCentre Plus and Connexions.

Those attending the event were given the opportunity to watch a variety of different learners in action, and take part in a tour of the centre before the award ceremony where the Lord Mayor, Councillor Alison Firth, and YMCA Training chief executive, Anne Linsey, presented certificates for achievement.

Jackie Huetson, YMCA Training Wythenshawe placement and marketing adviser, said:  "We had a fantastic day and were really pleased that so many people were able to join us to celebrate the work and achievements of our learners."
