Pre-16 learners and staff from YMCA Training Doncaster celebrated
success last week at a ceremony held at the town's Regent
Hotel.
The event was held to mark the achievements of a variety of Year
10 and Year 11 learners in areas including functional maths,
functional English and NVQ Level 1 in customer service.
In total, 73 learners were presented with a certificate and
record of achievement by Jayne Stockton, pre-16 co-ordinator at
YMCA Training Doncaster.
Jayne said: "Many of our learners have overcome personal
challenges in the journey to achieve their qualifications and our
awards ceremony not only gave them the recognition for their
educational studies and work experience, but also gave them the
opportunity to celebrate how far theyÃve in their own personal
journey towards achieving their goals."
The learners had been working on their qualifications since
September 2009 and many will continue their learning journey with
YMCA Training by progressing onto the Foundation Learning
programme.
