?North Somerset Housing? and YMCA Training work together to create jobs in North Somerset

Five unemployed young people are now in paid employment courtesy of ?North Somerset Housing?, YMCA Training and the Future Jobs Fund.

Sam, Kerrie, James, Victoria and Matthew will gain experience of housing, IT and Learning and Development, and will be able to use these new skills in future careers.

YMCA Training is working closely with NSHousing to provide the new starters with a dedicated employment coach and individually-focused training plans so that they can get the most out of their training.

The Future Jobs Fund aims to create around 150,000 jobs nationally, with 100,000 aimed at 18-24 year olds who are out of work and in receipt of Jobseekers Allowance for a certain period of time. Those who take up a Future Jobs Fund position will gain experience, develop important work-based skills and make a real difference in their community.
