Young learners at YMCA Training in Norwich played host
to their local MP, Simon Wright last week (25/2) during his visit
to the centre's Diamond Road address.
As well as a tour around the location which gave him the
opportunity to see first-hand the support offered to young people,
Mr Wright took part in a debate organised by the learners around
issues such as crime, educational maintenance allowance and
university fees.
Mr Wright also met with Zoe Carpenter, a former learner at the
location who won last year's YMCA Training e2e Achiever of the Year
award at the Palace of Westminster.
Adam Savvas, YMCA Training manager, said: "The learners were
really pleased that Mr Wright had taken the time to come and meet
them and really enjoyed showing off the centre as well as the
opportunity to take part in the debate around issues important to
them."
