What are your views of your learning experience at YMCA
Training? Now's your chance to have your say - your views
matter! This is part of a national survey and learners in
every college and learning provider in England will be taking
part.
The Learner Views survey starts on 1 October 2009 and runs until
12 February 2010. You can express what you think about the
quality of teaching and your satisfaction with your learning
experience, the support you are given and how you are treated
How do I take part?
It's an online survey. You can access the survey at any time
during the survey period by logging in here
- you will need the information below when you do this.
Do my views count?
Your views are essential! This is your opportunity to feed
back your comments about your learning experience to the Skills
Funding Agency (SfA) the SFA is the body that funds your
learning. Your views will be used to generate a measure of
the performance of YMCA Training which can be compared against
other colleges and providers in England. This rating will
help us to see how well we are doing compared with other
organisations and to respond accordingly. It will also help
future learners to decide if they want to learn at our
organisation.
What happens when the survey is finished?
In spring 2010, the Skills Funding Agency will send us the
results and it's up to us how we decide to share them. This
year the survey results will be made public. It is hoped that
the results will help learners like you make more informed
decisions about where they want to study.
The survey is very short, taking three to four minutes for most
learners to complete.
Is the data safe?
Yes. All the research work is undertaken by the research
companies Ipsos MORI and RCU and is carried out in accordance with
the Data Protection Act 1998 and guidelines agreed by the Market
Research Society.
How do I answer the survey?
You will need two pieces of information to answer the survey
- The first piece of information you will be asked for is the
code number, this is: 10007405
Once you have entered the number above select "next"
- You will then be asked to enter your learner personal number,
your training adviser will provide you with this.
Stage 3
You will now be asked a series of questions, similar to those
below:
- How good or bad was the information you were given when you
were choosing your course?
- How good or bad was the help staff gave you in the first few
weeks?
How good or bad is the teaching on your course?
- How good or bad is the respect staff show to you?
- How good or bad is the advice you have been given about what
you can do after this course?
- How good or bad is the support you get on this course?
- How good or bad is the provider at listening to the views of
learners?
- How good or bad is the provider at acting on the views of
learners?
- Overall, how good or bad do you think the provider is?
