Welwyn learners celebrate their achievements
YMCA Training Welwyn held its first award ceremony recently, on 14th November 2007, to celebrate all of the achievements that their learners have made in the last year.
The ceremony also celebrated the hard work of the staff team and other people that have given support to staff and learners. Rectory Lane Nursery was one of the employers that received an award for ‘being helpful and supportive to learners’, together with Child Base Nurseries in Hertfordshire.
A number of learners received awards for completing their Children’s Care, Learning and Development Apprenticeships, which includes an NVQ, key skills, paediatric first aid, employments rights and responsibilities and a technical certificate.
Learners from the Entry to Employment course received awards for gaining work placements; gaining employment; or for moving on to further education.
Clare Tyler, Manager at YMCA Training Welwyn, says: “The evening was very enjoyable and everyone that attended seemed happy and relaxed. I was delighted to see so many learners, Connexions Personal Advisers, friends and family there, to support and recognise the achievements of the learners.”
