How will YMCA Training help me get a job?
The courses that we offer are designed to help you improve your skills and experience so that you are better equipped to get a job. They will also help to support you in your search, providing advice with application forms and interviews, so that you'll have the best chance of getting the job you want.
How do I know which course is right for me?
Your Jobcentre Plus Adviser will be able to suggest the course that will give you the best training to help you to get a job. You will also meet with a YMCA Training Adviser who will assess your training needs.
What support will YMCA Training give me?
We'll work with you to identify exactly what training you need. We'll also find you work placements in which you can get some up-to-date work experience. Our advisers will also give you help and advice during your job search with everything from how to write your CV to requesting an application over the phone.
Can I apply directly to YMCA Training to start one of these courses?
No, you need to be referred by your local Jobcentre Plus. Click here to locate your nearest Jobcentre Plus office. Mention the options with YMCA Training that you are interested in to your Jobcentre Plus Adviser.
