Solve your short-term staffing needs!

YMCA Training can solve your short-term staffing dilemmas by providing keen individuals who would like to undertake work experience placements.

We work with a wide range of adults who are looking to update their work experience in a particular field in order to return to employment. School leavers enrolled on our Entry to Employment programme are also eager to get work experience as a route into their chosen career path.

Placements can range from one or two day work 'tasters' to six month placements for between one to four days a week.

The work experience will be a component of the individual's full training programme, as YMCA Training will also provide centre-based support to develop other skills, depending on their particular needs.

There's no catch

Placements are provided at no cost to the employer, and may also prove to be the perfect introduction of a permanent member of staff to your team. During their time with you, you'll have trained the candidate up to your standard and the trainee will have gained an understanding your business' ethos, so It's more than likely you'll want to interview them if you have a suitable vacancy.

Even if you don't have a permanent position available, you'll have already supported the trainee by giving them some up to date work experience for their CV. You may also want to support them further by providing a reference.
