Our partners

At YMCA Training we value partnerships. Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and funding bodies has always been important to us, helping to deliver the best services to the individuals and companies that we work with.

There are a number of key agencies and organisations that we work with to deliver our services.

Learning and Skills Council
YMCA Training delivers Apprenticeships, Advanced Apprenticeships, Train to Gain and e2e programmes funded by the LSC.

Jobcentre Plus
The Jobcentre Plus funds and refers participants to our training programmes which help people back to work.

Connexions
We work closely with local Connexions services, which ensures young people get access to the training they need.

City & Guilds
The main accrediting body for the qualifications that we deliver.

European Social Fund
Co-financed by the LSC and Jobcentre Plus, the ESF funds a number of our community projects.

Employment Related Services Association
YMCA Training is a founding and active member of ERSA.

Association for Learning Providers
YMCA Training is a member of ALP, the voice of learning providers.

Remploy
We have a partnership agreement with Remploy, with the aim to develop the services for learners with disabilities.

YMCA England
As an active member of the YMCA movement, YMCA Training shares the vision of its umbrella organisation, YMCA England.

Tesco
We are also developing partnerships with national companies, to provide training to their employees around the country. One company we work with in this way is Tesco, the UK's most popular supermarket. Click here to find out more about our partnership with Tesco.

Local Partners

YMCA Training prides itself on the partnerships it forms within the local communities, which enable us to get to the heart of local needs. We work with local employers, including retailers, factories, warehouses, nurseries, care homes and many more, to enable them to develop their staff and improve their business through our training programmes.

We also work with key service providers such as local authorities, Primary Care Trusts, charities and support agencies to ensure individuals have access to both the training and support they require.

We also work in partnership with many local schools, often working with Key Stage 4 pupils who have been excluded, or are at risk of exclusion, providing them with an alternative way of learning. For more information about our work with schools click here.
